What can you say about the 2015 TT races except that they were incredible? The story of the whole event was set to be Ian Hutchinson’s amazing return to form after his horrific leg injuries. Three TT wins for Hutchy and after his first win of the week in the Supersport class, there wasn’t a dry eye in the post race interview room. An amazing story and an incredible return for a chap whose leg was set to be amputated, had over 30 operations on it, was actually rotting from the inside out and requires him to ride with a right-mounted gear change as it is still unable to operate properly. What an absolute hero and a man whose determination is only matched by his skill and his ability to soak up pain, grit his teeth and get on with it. And then the Senior TT happened…

If you haven’t seen the shortened second race – watch it. John McGuinness might have taken a Zero TT win earlier in the week, but many were writing the King of the Mountain off as the young pretenders were starting to come through. Never write off McPint! An absolutely mind-bendingly fast Senior race saw McG not only set the fastest ever lap from a standing start of 131.850mph but also Guy Martin, Michael Dunlop and James Hillier all set 132mph average laps and McG smash in a new absolute course record of 132.701mph. The man was riding like an absolute demon and once again, like he did a few years ago when Michael Dunlop was his team mate, John has demonstrated that he is the true King of the TT.Add to this incredible racing action the side story of Michael Dunlop’s split from the Milwaukee Yamaha team, the Buildbase squad subsequently shipping out a BMW for him, Peter Hickman setting a 131mph lap in only his second ever TT, Guy saying his gran would have ridden the Triumph better than him and then hopping on the Victory electric bike and, of course, the beer and you have one hell of a TT to remember.
